Many thanks to the PCA Hurricane Region staff & crew for inviting me yesterday to speak about basic detailing principles. If you are curious, this is a once a year event featuring beautiful Porsches in the Raleigh, Durham, Cary, & North Carolina Area:

All Porsche and other exotic car owners are invited to the annual Hurricane Region Porsche Club of America OktoberFest on Sunday October 5, 2014.  OktoberFest is an afternoon event filled with people, cars and refreshments and gives you a chance to enjoy some of the area’s finest automobiles.   This is a low-key “wash and show” event, so no need to get out the Q-Tips and white gloves to show your car.

As in years past, we will be holding OktoberFest at the picnic area at Montague Lake in the Cary / Raleigh area.  Montague’s is located at 10301 Penny Road, just east of the intersection of Penny Road and Kildaire Farm Road.

Thanks for the participation, support, and inquisitive questions. I apologize for the final session at 2:30, we had to shrink the vehicle protection portion due to timing. In the future there will be more diagrams, samples, demo vehicles, and hands on experience. If you were confused, my apologies as car detailing can be hard to explain through word. Paint Thickness & Car Protection

While I did not have time to photograph every Porsche between each three sessions, here are a bunch I took around 11am & 3pm. No specifics on numbers, but there were at least 147 registered cars with exceeding capacity at the entrance.
